In the roll-up to Women ’ s Day , there is no better way to celebrate the women of our nation and the fantastic Banyana Banyana win at the Africa Cup of Nations than with a tribute to the leaders and influencers who are working tirelessly to better the industries and communities they serve .
We interview three such women : Chanet Muller of Devmark Property Management Group , Tefelo Majoro of the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency , and Juanita Clark from Digital Council Africa , all industry experts who are trailblazing their way through the traditional red tape to deliver fantastic achievements .
We would also like to acknowledge those who are innovating their way towards making a brighter future for all of us . These include all of the creative business practice ideas that were born during the worst moments of the pandemic and that have now become industry standards .
One such individual is Joanne Dean , SAREC vice chairperson and a South African representative of the International Climate Trust . Her inexhaustible efforts in the environmental and sustainability sectors are inspirational and she has been instrumental in expediting the renewable energies amendment changes that will come into effect in the country .
And , most importantly , we salute the heroes of all 55 residential communities that have female lead management teams , each contributing to drive the social , environmental and financial value of community living spaces .
In this issue of the magazine , we look at three key areas . Our Property Investment section examines aspects of property finance and sustainability , and we investigate the concept of smart cities and commercial spaces . Our Community Living section looks at the management of solar and renewable energy in an estate , and covers interesting topics such as how to set up a wedding venue at your estate .
Finally , we travel abroad to explore the investment and settlement opportunities in Mauritius , and discuss visa assistance for those wanting to emigrate to the UK .
