T
he idea for mmLearn.org was developed in 2007 in response to a request for grant proposals by the San Antonio Area
Foundation (Elizabeth McGown Fund). This grant allowed mmLearn.org to record and share educational resources to
family, professional and pastoral caregivers. Ten years later, mmLearn.org continues to fulfill the role of Morningside’s “ministry
outside the walls,” reaching audiences across the globe.
mmLearn.org is committed to providing quality online training that improves the quality of care received by older
adults to anyone seeking practical ways to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of older adults in their
care. The program also helps train staff across all three of the Morningside Ministries Senior Living Communities.
