MMLEARN.ORG Celebrating 10 Years This year, Morningside Ministries is pleased to celebrate the 10 th anniversary of its donor-funded program, mmLearn.org. What began as an initiative incorporating technology in employee training evolved into a valuable resource for family, professional and pastoral caregivers worldwide. TOTAL GRANTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS RECEIVED SINCE 2007 EXCEED LOCATION OF VIEWERS REACHED WITHOUT THE USE OF MARKETING MONEY $4.5 MILLION 50 States RECORDED AND HOSTED OVER OVER 1,000,000 + VIDEOS to date ON A VARIETY OF CAREGIVER SUBJECTS OF RESPONDENTS SAID “The training in this particular skill area contributed to an increase in my job skill satisfaction.” Countries SINCE 2007, VIDEOS PRODUCED BY MMLEARN.ORG HAVE CUMULATIVELY ACHIEVED 1,000 + 92.3% 100 ONLINE VIEWS IN 2016, 100% OF RESPONDENTS SAID “This training had a positive impact on my desire to remain in geriatric care.” 97% OF RESPONDENTS STATED “that their knowledge and/or skills increased.” T he idea for mmLearn.org was developed in 2007 in response to a request for grant proposals by the San Antonio Area Foundation (Elizabeth McGown Fund). This grant allowed mmLearn.org to record and share educational resources to family, professional and pastoral caregivers. Ten years later, mmLearn.org continues to fulfill the role of Morningside’s “ministry outside the walls,” reaching audiences across the globe. mmLearn.org is committed to providing quality online training that improves the quality of care received by older adults to anyone seeking practical ways to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of older adults in their care. The program also helps train staff across all three of the Morningside Ministries Senior Living Communities. 4 Spring 2017
