The Maker Movement, "brings the do-it-yourself mindset to all the technology in your life." The use of makerspaces in education allows students to explore a hybrid of engineering and the creative arts essential to the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) movement by allowing students to explore building, engineering, robotics, as well as art and craft. Schools are developing "Makerspaces" in common areas such as libraries, inventoried with everything from LEGOs and 3D printers, to paint and craft materials.
