Creativity is the Oxygen of the Soul by Wanda Veloz Every day as human beings we have multiple opportunities to exercise our creativity. In a more obvious way we have those people whose creativity leads them to the arts, such as painters, sculptors, photographers, writers, composers, singers, actors, and fine arts. They are individuals whose creativity is evident, because it comes out of their pores. However, something I've learned is that all of us, in one way or another, practice creativity every day. Whether it's creativity managing our finances and stretching our money as much as we can; or maybe we´re creative in solving different problems in our work. It could also happen that we are very creative when it comes to organizing our day, managing our house, our time, dressing up and dressing and even in our family dynamics. At more subtle levels, that escape the material plane, we’re also creating. We are creators of our day to day with our attitude. If you h ave a bad day, what determines that the day has been a bad one, except your attitude and your approach? What, haven’t you seen people with illnesses or serious problems with a smile on their face and grateful to be alive? How do they do it? Simple: they decided to use their creativity to seek a purpose and a higher vision of that situation or event. On a personal level, writing is my creative escape. I love to write; it's something I can spend hours doing. Time flies when I get lost in writing; it makes me feel alive, and I do it even for free every time I have the opportunity to do so. ¿My big dream? Live to write. If I found a job today where every day my work was to sit in front of a computer and write, I would be the happiest human being in the world! ¿But where does this creation gust come from? ¿What inspires an artist to give shape to a piece? These are questions for which each individual can surely have a different answer, and all of them will be correct. Creativity and inspiration go hand in hand. For me, the reality is that we are the reflection of a Creative Force that is ALL Creativity. To create, for all of us, is something natural and instinctive. Creativity is that ability to play, to fly, to get lost in the world that dazzles us. For me, a blank page is a world full of possibilities; it’s an opportunity to create something. Perhaps for someone else a blank page is something that intimidates or frightens them; perhaps that person prefers to sit at a piano and play beautiful melodies; others may prefer to pick up a brush or pencil and capture a moment in time. ¿The most important thing? That we all play along. Even the least artistic person, in appearance, is creative. We all create with our actions, with our intention, with our thoughts and our words. What happens is that many of us go through life as unconscious creators. We don’t realize the great creative power we have, and we use it in a non-beneficial way. Let us be aware of our great creative power. Let's create joy, love. Let's create a better country. Let’s create a world in which we all use our creative gifts for the benefit of others. Let's not limit our creativity. Better give it wings and do something good for everyone. To live our Truth with eagerness is the great freedom that exercising our creativity gives us. May our creations be a reflection of our True Self.
