Finally, we sampled the 2014 Pretender, a white Pinot Noir. This wine is made from the best grapes, is versatile and
will pair well with a variety of foods. The Pinot Noir as a meal concept showcases the range of the wine, to pair
with a variety of foods and to hold its own perfectly. After enjoying this satisfying Pinot Noir menu, I was curious
about his other brand of wine, Child’s Play. Adorned with colorful, intriguing labels, they beckon you to pick them
up and drink them. It turns out that artistic expression runs in the family, his daughters’ art work inspired the label for
the Child’s Play.
These wines are drinkable now at easy price points for the pocket book. Tony’s creativity comes into play as he utiliz-
es additional grapes in the array. My favorite was the Zinfandel, a bold wine, with lovely red and black fruit flavors
while showing balance and restraint. He also makes a Pinot Chardonnay, a crisp white; a Rose, an unusually
colored deep salmon hue, full bodied; and a Pinot Noir.
