Chocolate  Chip   Cookies  for  the  soul.   Ingredients:   2  ¼  cups  of  all-­‐purpose  flour   ½  teaspoon  baking  soda   1  cup  unsalted  butter   ½  cup  sugar   1  cup  packed  light-­‐brown  sugar   1  teaspoon  salt   2  teaspoons  pure  vanilla  extract   2  large  eggs   2  cups  chocolate  chips     Directions:   Preheat  oven  to  350  degrees,  mix  together   sugars  butter,  salt,  vanilla,  and  eggs.  Then  add   in  other  ingredients  slowly.  Finally  add  in  the   chocolate  chips.     Drop  tablespoon-­‐  size  balls  of  dough  2  inches   apart  on  baking  sheets.     Bake  until  cookies  are  golden  about  8  to10   minutes.  Let  cookies  cool  then  put  them  in   container.   Cooking   With  the   Kids   Camping  Season   Time  for  Potato   Salad   Fun  and  easy  recipes   that  you  can  do  with   your  family  and  friends.   Get  the  kids  involved  in   your  home  kitchen.     Ingredients:   2  lbs.  of  cooked  and  cut  potato’s   1  cup  mayonnaise   2  Tbsp.  Vinegar   1  ½  tsp.  Salt   1  tsp.  Sugar   ¼  tsp.  Ground  black  pepper   2  hard-­‐  cooked  eggs,  chopped   Directions:   Combine  all  ingredients  in  a  large  bowl.   Preferable  the  one  you  will  be  storing  it  in.   Toss  the  salad  gently.  Serve  chilled  or  at  room   temperature.  Make  sure  it  is  stored  in  the   fridge.     11
