Up-and-coming young artist, Nick Hoar, presents his debut, solo exhibition with a series of paintings and drawings documenting everyday life on tour with To Kill A King and Bastille.
Following the highly acclaimed, world-wide release of their debut album, ‘Cannibals With Cutlery’, To Kill A King were announced as the lone support for the duration of Bastille’s UK and Europe-wide ‘All This Bad Blood’ tour. Nick was invited along on the European leg, in part to lend an extra pair of hands, but also with his artistic endeavours in mind.
Throughout the three weeks spent in close quarters with the band, Nick got a fascinating and rare insight into the workings of full-scale touring. Critically, it afforded him the perspective and diversity of experience from which to produce a series of paintings which best show off his emerging talent.
