The next day, Bear was hungry. He came across a beehive. Bear, try as he might, could not reach the hive. Grumbling he sat and stared. Beaver came a pond looking for sticks. Bear saw Beaver and he ask, "Oh good woodcutter, could you please cut this tree for me?" Bear said, "For you see, I am hungry and I cannot reach the delicious honey." Beaver replied, "Then sit and stare, for I must find more sticks for my dam. It is broken and I must fix it." And so Beaver left without another word. Bear was left to stay hungry.
