Thorny Life
“The book is very inspiring for disabled people,” explains Ms. Abrol. “They have a life worth living, a life where they can achieve their goals whoever they are. This is my story being a disabled Asian person who has done a lot in her life even doing it to this day.”
From early life, Ms. Abrol knew she was going to have to fight to live the life she wanted – a life most people take for granted. Readers watch this brave woman as she throws caution to the wind and decides that her life will not be lived with regret. They follow her through her early years, young love, success at driving and graduating college; her middle years, marriage, living in Germany, owning a restaurant and her husband leaving; and her later years, raising a child, going back to school and rebuilding her life.
Each page shines as an example of perseverance and courage that will encourage any reader, and that is just what Ms. Abrol wants. “I want my readers to go away and think that disabled individuals can achieve things like any normal person. With some limitations, but we do as much or more than most people.”
