Generally, bullying
decreases over time as kids get
older and move on from their
adolescent years, however, studies
have shown that bullying does not
decrease at the same rate for LGBT
people. Furthermore, a
nti-LGBT
stigma is so pervasive that even
heterosexual adolescents report being bullied for their
perceived sexuality (Russell and Fish). If we have come so
far, then
why are LGBT youth still so
susceptible to bullying?
