5 YEARS STRONG: MAC & KATHYYEARS
LE: How many years have you been together? Mac & Kathy: We’ ve been together for 4 years, and got married June 18, 2011.
LE: How long did you date prior to making a commitment? We dated for 2 months before we made a commitment. I knew she was going to be my life partner after our 2nd date.
LE: Dealing with differences can be a real challenge in any relationship. How did you deal with and accept each other’ s differences? Communication and compromise, we’ re fully invested in the work it takes to maintain a good marriage. We can agree to disagree. In addition, we have a good friend that’ s a marriage counselor that helps us get over some of the hurdles.
LE: Dealing with conflict, problems arise in relationships from outside forces that we cannot control. How did you handle these situations? We have each other’ s back. We are impenetrable by outside forces, because at the end of the day, we rely on each other’ s wisdom & life experiences to fully see the bigger picture. That is a successful marriage, never perfect but always a work in progress.

LE: Does religion play any part in the relationship? Are you of the same faith? If different religious beliefs, please explain how you deal with that. We don’ t adhere to any religious organization or denomination; but we are spiritual beings. We feel that religion is too divisive, not only in marriage, but in life itself. We believe in GOD.
One of the best ways to maintain a healthy and loving relationship is to remain an individual in that relationship. However, it’ s just as important to understand you must work together as a team as well.-LE-
