How to Work as a Team:
?Assess the manual handling task
?Appoint a leader
?Clear the area of potential hazards
?Discuss the lift with team members
?All members to be aware of the commands that will be used

During the move:
Count into the lift 1, 2, 3, stand, or you can use words such as
ready, steady, lift. However, whichever you use, the move should
not take place until you use the command (lift, stand, turn etc).
It is vital that one person takes the lead in directing the move and
all move in unison when directed to. During the move also:
?Use moving and handling aids to reduce risks
?Listen carefully and keep noise down and no fooling around
?Work together, walk in step and lower the load together
