47 On the chair, the left arm is removable so as to assist the casualty on and off. Lift the arm in the upwards position and pull out to remove. Always secure the arm again before lifting and lowering the pool chair. In picture 5, note that the handler is pressing the foot peddle in order to release the turning mechanism to allow the chair to be turned around pool side. Following this, in picture 6, turn the top handle to lower the chair into the pool, whereby the arm is then removed and the casualty is assisted into the pool. Reverse these steps in bringing the casualty out of the pool. Remember, somebody will be authorised to operate the chair. Now view the video
