Moving Forward in Chair
For this move, see pictures 1 and 2. In the first picture, the handler
needs to talk through the move along with gestures and ensure the
casualty is able and happy to continue.
Explain that to start, you the handler will place your hands behind
the casualty’s back for support throughout the move, and that when
directed to ready stead and lift, the casualty should lift one side
forwards and on the next command to lift, bring the other side
forwards, and continue until at the front of the chair.
When you start, place one of the casualty’s legs forwards for
support and leverage, and at the end of the move, do the same to
support them in standing up. Now view the video below.
