Transferring Casualty - Floor to Bed
This will be covered over pages 16 - 19
One handler should hold either side of the casualty’s head and
neck as support, while 3 handlers position themselves equally
down the side of the casualty's body.
Then cross the casualty’s arms as in picture 2-3, and the handler by
the casualty’s arms should place one hand on the casualty’s hand
over shoulder and the other on his hip, as other handlers continue
as you see in the photos.
The person at the head should take command and direct everyone
to turn the casualty towards them, at the same time on command.
This is the start of what is called a Log Roll.
Then, as shown in pictures’ 4 another handler should place the
slide sheet close to the casualty with some material gathered near
the casualty.
