The way that they used to work back then where that mental health professionals resorted to institutionalization, castration, and electroconvulsive shock therapy to try to stop people from being lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender. Now, most commonly used include a variety of behavioral, cognitive, psychoanalytic, and other practices that try to reduce same-sex attraction or alter a person’s gender identity.
Here’s the thing, there’s no such thing as therapy in these so-called miraculous camps; it falls under psychological terror. Often leading to a traumatic experience and a mentally abused kid at the end of their journey. Many parents sign their kids up without really knowing what the program is about or how they are achieving results and unknowingly scar their children for life.

Conversion therapy has been hyped throughout this year. The premise is simple: you take your gay kid to a (probably not registered) gay-be-gone camp and after some time your kid will (hopefully) no longer be gay.
