What if one of your classes helped you build manufacturing skills, earn a varsity letter, and even explore a future career building airplanes?
At Snohomish High School in Washington State, students are doing exactly that through the Core Plus Aerospace program. Students are out of their seats, working with tools, building projects, and practicing the same skills used in real-world manufacturing jobs.
For senior Elizabeth Bogen, the journey started freshman year.
“ I took a shop class my freshman year and after that I always knew I wanted to work with my hands,” Elizabeth said.
That early interest turned into a passion for advanced manufacturing.
Learning Skills That Matter
The Core Plus Aerospace curriculum teaches students hands-on skills like drilling, riveting, layout, precision measurement, and more. Students also learn how to read blueprints,
