Paul Maloy — is the director of education for the Experimental Aircraft Association , managing a fantastic staff of professional educators for all EAA youth education programs including in-house school and youth group programming , summer camps , and the AeroEducate online youth aviation education program . Prior to working at EAA , Paul was a crazy U . S . History teacher at the junior high school level in Utah for 16 years - dressing up in period costumes and sharing artifacts of history from a velociraptor toenail to a piece of the Berlin Wall . He served as an officer in the U . S . Air Force and is a private pilot currently owning a 1960 Piper Comanche 250 .
