Nearing the end of the course , students started asking what their opportunities may be and what that path forward looks like . Tony explained , “ Erickson offers many opportunities to get your foot in the door , like starting as a manufacturing maintenance technician ( MMT ) which gives them a chance to work throughout a variety of shops and find their niche — it could be working on engines or doing structural repair on an airframe .”
Upon completion of the course , students receive a certificate of completion , signed training record , a letter of reference , and priority consideration for Erickson employment opportunities .
Erickson offers a variety of programs for young mechanics including an Airframe and Powerplant ( A & P ) apprenticeship , mentoring , and more .
