The SmallSat Education Conference
To share their passion, the AIA and WCDT created the SmallSat Education Conference( SSEC) in 2022. Held annually at Kennedy Space Center, this event brings students, teachers, and space professionals together to learn and collaborate. This event is especially designed for middle and high school students and educators, who can enjoy hands-on workshops in soldering, coding, amateur radio licensing, and designing real-world aerospace missions.
By 2024, the conference had:
• Over 540 attendees from eight countries
• 36 presentations
• 25-plus exhibitors from NASA, universities, and private space companies
