What got you into crafting ?
I think I found it an escape and it was a nice hobby to do whilst being at home with my daughter before I went back into the teaching profession . I like how you can create a piece of artwork without having to be able to draw from scratch and I found that crafting became addictive ! I also used to sell my cards on a craft stall at the weekends and frequented crafting conventions to buy more craft products .
What is your favourite craft project you have made to date and why ?
My favourite craft project to date is the pop- up card I made using my Alice in Wonderland range of stamps , which I demonstrated in my April " The Craft Store " show . I haven ' t made one of these for ages and I found it really fun to do . Although doing it live on TV was quite nerve-wracking !
What are 3 craft tools you can ’ t live without ?
I would say my stamping platform which has been a life-saver for improving my stamped images , gel medium ( I ' ve literally just got into mixed media and I love it !) and my heat gun as I love using embossing powder on my craft projects
Were you nervous for launching your show with us back in January ?
I was incredibly nervous ! I didn ' t even have to be on set for that show due to the lockdown and all I had to do was say something via Skype at the start of the show ! I was super nervous but it was also really exciting !
Which stamp design are you most proud of and why ?
All my stamp designs are either illustrated by Rachel or designed by Russ so I don ' t actually design the stamps myself . I would say the stamp design that has always been a firm favourite is the set of camper van stamps that Rachel designed years ago . I never tire of using it and I ' ve included a picture of a card made using it in this article . It ' s such a fun set that can be used all year round .
