For safety reasons: if a major event happened,
such as grass fires, that caused evacuation
of the areas south of Whoop-Up Drive, the
congestion on Whoop-Up Drive would be
significant. If people were not able to be evacuated,
those south of Whoop-Up would be cut off from safety.
70% - Yes
Whoop-Up is at 50% capacity. We’re still way off from needing a third bridge.
Plus, our lane per capita number is higher than Vancouver’s, so we’re pretty well
served.
