News media is flooding negative news , there is in fact lots of positive news that media is not reporting .
We need to focus on our own nation and take care of our own issues . President Trump is undeserving of all the attention . Shame on us , Canada . We should know better . Might be a good idea to keep an eye on our own government and hold it accountable . Just saying .
The City of Lethbridge , and Lethbridge City Council , are working through the process of planning for the 2018 – 2027 Capital Improvement Program ( CIP ), and identifying required capital projects for our city . The presentations are done , and deliberations will go on in May , with council approving the CIP in June . What do you think some of the required capital projects should be ? A new fire station ? An indigenous cultural centre study ? A new regional transit terminal ? A cycling escalator for Whoop- Up Drive ? A performing arts centre ? A trade , convention centre and agriplex ? Or should the City cut spending altogether and focus on maintenance projects ? Your answers in our July / August issue .
