FireSmart is a Shared Responsibility Over the past five years, the Lesser Slave FireSmart Committee has made considerable progress in its efforts to reduce the risk of wildfire. More than 653 hectares of forest in the region have received treatments such as mulching, thinning and removal of brush in order to reduce the risk of wildfire and make communities safer.
