• The main cheeses are as follows
a) Feta Cheese. Lesbos is the only island where the production of Feta
Cheese is permitted (PDO Product).

raviera cheese. A type of hard cheese of sheep and goat milk (PDO
product)
c) Ladotyri Mytilinis. A unique hard cheese made of sheep and goat milk
(PDO Product). Its name “ladotyri” (ladi=olive oil, and tyri=cheese) comes
from the method of production and preservation – the cheese is soaked
for two years in olive oil.
d) Kaseri cheese. A spicy, semi-hard type of cheese (PDO Product).

Lesvian honey is unique in aroma and organoleptic properties due the rich-
ness of Lesbos insular flora.

• Ouzo
A dry anise-flavoured aperitif similar to rakı, arak, pastis and Sambuca, ou-
zo is produced in large quantities on the island by more than twenty different
distilleries of the highest quality.
