Commissioner Mr. Hugo
Meyer will head his annual party into the mountains near Cloudcroft
tomorrow to obtain the
town’s Christmas tree,
which will be located in
San Jacinto Plaza. Twenty-two men will make up
the expedition to return
the 10,000-pound tree
to El Paso, Meyer said.
El Paso’s Christmas tree
will be donated again
this year by Mr. and Mrs.
A. B. Poe, who will pay
costs of transportation,
decoration, and illumination. Meyer said. Approximately $500 was
donated by Mr. And Mrs.
Poe for last year’s tree.
