LYNGATE
PARK
SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
Enjoy the amenities that make Lyngate Park a beloved treasure.
• As the first of only two public dog parks currently
within the City, Lyngate Dog Park was established
in 2013, and features three compounds in areas
for small, medium and large dogs. Water fountains
near the Dog Park feature separate spigots for our
beloved canine friends, as well as their owners.
• Two pavilions are available for reservation within
the park and come equipped with grills, lights,
electric and water.
• Two lighted sports fields are available for
reservations. One is a youth baseball field and
the second is a baseball/softball field. The softball
field is one of two park sites used by the City’s
Adult Softball League and Senior Softball League,
where hundreds of adults spend many evenings
playing recreational softball.
• Two lighted tennis courts are also featured and
are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Four outdoor racquetball courts with lights are
used daily by visitors who love to hear the “pop” of
the racquetball resounding throughout the park.
• For day use only, the park offers a sand volleyball
court, where enthusiasts can volley the ball and
enjoy active play year-round.
Nestled in eastern Port St. Lucie, Lyngate Park, located at 1301 S.E. Lyngate Drive, is 16 acres of recreational
paradise, an all-inclusive “playground” of entertaining amenities that entice visitors of all ages. As the second
oldest community park in the City, established in 1979, Lyngate Park is home to the Port St. Lucie American
Little League. Open seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a sports light curfew of 9:30 p.m. daily,
Lyngate Park draws thousands of people year-round.

• In October 2018, the Parks & Recreation
Department replaced the playground at the park
with a new and attractive structure, equipped
with innovative sensory features. The purchase of
the playground was funded through the federally-
subsidized Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) and includes:
• A “Zero-G Swing Chair,” which provides
additional support to allow children to swing
alongside their friends.
• A “Sensory Wave Spinning Seat,” is included
as well, for fast, fun and exciting freestanding
play that helps children maintain a neutral
position while spinning.
• An “Expression Swing,” which allows
children under five and an adult to swing
face-to-face.
These and other installed components
encourage multisensory and cooperative play
for all ages and abilities. Other playground
components included in the design are
freestanding activity panels and noise-making
components which are interconnected into
the play structure.
For countless families, parks are the great equalizer. Lyngate Park, host to a diverse variety of people of all ages, is
an “equal opportunity employer,” as the park welcomes everyone, regardless of age, socioeconomic status, ability
levels, etc., to partake of its many features. Lyngate Park affords ALL the opportunity to meet and socialize with
people from all walks of life, to assist visitors with building strong social skills, and a deeper appreciation for ALL
people.
