JOBS CORRIDOR : FOURTH PHASE OF TOM MACKIE BOULEVARD
REQUEST : $ 3,000,000
BENEFIT :
The recent announcements of new industry relocating and expanding to Port St . Lucie and St . Lucie County , has created additional demand from manufacturing and distribution companies located in the Tradition Center for Commerce . Due to the increased demand , the City of Port St . Lucie is requesting $ 3 million for the fourth extension of Tom Mackie Boulevard , a 3,150 linear foot roadway that will serve as the main north-south spine road of the Tradition Center for Commerce . The extension of Tom Mackie Boulevard will provide access to 130 acres of undeveloped land that can accommodate an additional 800,000 square feet of industrial development and create an additional 500 high wage jobs for St . Lucie County residents and the Treasure Coast region .
DETAILS :
The project includes all work associated with the construction of approximately 3,150 linear feet of roadway .
• Total project cost : $ 7,380,999 . The City of Port St . Lucie ’ s contribution : $ 2,760,999 and a Right of Way ( ROW ) donation of $ 1,620,000 .
