Everyone is born with a talent whether it maybe the ability to draw, Rap, sing or even write songs. The question is who is willing to take a chance and put their talents to use at the same time show them off. Well there are in some chases where they discover there talents late such as high school such as myself but come to college and try to flourish as an artist. This is the case for a lot of students at CAU “Clark Atlanta University”. Students like Savion, Kavion.

To start off my first interview with Savion J. Rogers aka Saviee is a freshman at Clark Atlanta University from Chicago and his particular talents are singing, song writing, and rapping. The first question I asked in the interview was how he started in getting into doing music. His response was “ I grew up on music from the church to the classroom. I’ve been singing since the fifth grade and writing since the ninth grade. I just caught on to it so easily as if it came as second nature and it became a passion”. In the interview you could tell how he really felt about answering the question that he believe in his music and that he has firmly made his music as apart of his life. Even as a random person you would want t his music based of just his confidence. Another question I asked him what was his drive to keep doing music even after leaving high school and coming to college and not being signed to a major music label? He responded as “ Music is life no just life but my life and my motto because without it I would be living in a total and complete different world. As my last question in the interview was “ who are his role model in the music industry and why?”. Savion a.k.a. Savie’s response was” Ray Charles, Boyz to Men, Music Soul Child and biggest role model would have to be Usher, why because I was able to not only see but hear maturity in his music and I hope and pray that, that very thing happen to my music and my voice in my future in my music and as a person.

In the second interview was kavion Kashtro a.k.a. Vonne Kash is also a freshman at Clark Atlanta University from Boston his talents in tell rapping, singing, song writing, and comedy. As before I asked him how did he become interested in doing music and when did he start? Kavion’s response was “ Music is in his blood he can remember his mom always singing to him when he was little kid she would sing my only sun shine before he would go to sleep and when after that he would go to church with his whole family and he would always sit on the church drummers lap and play drums with him”. In the interview I asked him a different question I would ask him then anyone else, the question was while you were in high school what did you do with your talents and ability did you just sit and never use them or did u practice with them and keep trying to use them to improve upon yourself? His response was “ while in high school I was actually writing and I was all ways doing my own versions to song and before I graduated I chose to write and produce my own song for the talent show at my school and my community talents show to see if should keep try to pursue a career in music or if I should leave it behind.”

While he answers this question he was smiling the whole time and I choose to ask “ you laugh as if there was something extra you wanted to say? His response was “ that I laugh because your not the only one to ask that question and that even with all the out comes with all of the talent show I didn’t come to school in music I still came to Clark with the view of being bout a musician and a business man at the same time to make sure I would always have a back- up plan just in case anything were to happen.”
