Project Approval Process
Proposal
Applicants (usually students) submit a 1-2 page proposal outlining the nature of the
funding opportunity, why it is important to the MBA program, and the amount of
money requested.
Filtering
Expenditures Committee votes on whether to invite applicants to the next stage of
the process. A 70% vote in favour is required to advance the project.
Presentation
Applicants are invited to “pitch” their idea to the Expenditures Committee, and give
more detail into the funding opportunity. Expenditures Committee members may
ask questions about the presentation and the opportunity being presented.
Decision
Expenditures Committee votes on whether to fund the project. A 70% vote in favour
is required to fund a project.
