Perspective
Dear Friends,
What a whirlwind this year has been! It’s hard to believe that
a full year has gone by since we celebrated the success of the
“Yes, Mrs. Pope” Capital Campaign and moved into our new

facility on the children and families served at Lena Pope – all
thanks to your generosity and support of the mission.
In all of our services at Lena Pope, we encourage the children and families served to see the
world, and their situations, in a different light. This new perspective often helps them to view
themselves and their surroundings differently with a goal of a better outcome for themselves
and their families.
Here are just a few of Lena Pope’s amazing tenured staff (back to front, left to right): Sal Arar, Evans Royal, Shelby Timmerman, Margaret Simpson,
Sheri Wilson, Paige Chambers, Sam Goss, Dee Dee Rodriguez, Ben Broadwater, Nevart Willborn, Stacey Lewis, Shana Hazzard, Sarah Rubinson,
Margaret Cohenour, Elizabeth Brown, Marilyn Sammons.
