20th Lena Pope Nike Golf Classic
Young Professional Advocates
Our thanks to Kim and Glenn Darden for opening their
stunning home to our Young Professional Advocates for
the annual Kickoff. Board president Julie Piggott offered
encouraging remarks to nearly 100 young men and
women in attendance whose enthusiasm for Lena Pope
was palpable. Courtney Summers, Chair, and Allison
Miller, Vice-Chair, then offered personal accounts of their
experiences serving on the Steering Committee and
participating in the YPA Pen Pal program. Several guests
became YPA members almost immediately, eager to
make a difference in the lives of children and families in
the community and be part of such a dynamic group.
