We recognize that hope and happiness are essential but so is success – for the children and families we serve and for our community who supports us. In this issue of Legacy, I hope you will take a moment to review our 2012-2013 Annual Report, which includes the outcomes achieved in the past year. Just as Abraham Lincoln had a friend that believed in him, we provide a similar belief for children and families which, in turn, leads to their success and ultimately, success for our entire community. I’ve worked with two to three boys a week during the last few years, and really appreciate the commitment of everyone — from the principal to the parents. I’ve done volunteering elsewhere, and would definitely say the Chapel Hill folks are very engaged compared to the norm!”
