Major Trends Influence South Florida Real Estate

The real estate business is about
providing space for people to live, work or
play. Understanding this core simplicity will
help you figure out how to make money.
Identifying the major trends that will impact
people will lead you to how and where to
find good real estate investments. In this
article, I will highlight a few major trends
that I believe will influence how and
whereSouth Floridians live, work and play.
Generational shifting is the biggest trend
shaping America today. The two largest
generations in American history are on
opposite ends of the career cycle. The
Baby-boomer Generation, born between
1946 and 1964, represents roughly
twenty-five percent of America’s
population. They are retiring and will be
doing so for several more years. As this
occurs, boomers will seek to be less involved
in business matters. A large population of
people will be seeking to simplify their lives
while making money from what they already
own. The result will be opportunities to buy
their properties and businesses.
The Millennial Generation, born between
1981 and 1993, also represents roughly
twenty-five percent of the population.
These are young people who will become
self-sustaining adults for several years to
come. They will be open to live, work and
play in neighborhoods that are diverse and
once overlooked by some. Young and in
their early careers, they will seek
convenience that is not too expensive. This
