LEEK ARTS FESTIVAL
Arts Festival’s palette of events
W
ith the 38th Leek Arts Festival now in full
swing there is a wealth of events, activities
and performances for everyone to get
involved in this year.
With more events on offer than ever, currently
running until early June, the line up for this year’s
Festival includes an eclectic mix of everything from
rock and pop through to fine art and photography
– with a generous helping of classical music, prose
and poetry, funk, folk and drama all thrown in for
good measure.
And after last year’s major revamp of the
Festival’s website tickets are now easier than ever
to get your hands on with the option to buy online.
The festivities may have already kicked off but
there is still plenty more to come with all the
information you need about every show and
performance listed clearly on the website ,
leekartsfestival.co.uk, which provides full details
of all the events, venues and ticket prices.
The curtain went up on the Festival with All
Saints Operatic Society’s performance of Oh What
A Lovely War at St Edwards CoE Academy along
with ‘The Finale’ a farewell dinner to celebrate the
achievements of Leek and District Arts Club held at
the Three Horseshoes, followed by plenty of laughs
at Leek Comedy Club’s first big event of the festival
at Foxlowe Arts Centre.
Check out our guide to the Festival events still
to come.
