December Events Christmas at Queenswood! Date: Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th December Join us for our Christmas Light switch on (Saturday) and visit Father Christmas in his magical Grotto (Saturday & Sunday - daytime or evening options)! We've got plenty of festive activities going on across the weekend. Venue: Queenswood Country Park & Arboretum, Dinmore Hill, Nr Leominster, HR6 0PY Cost: £7 per Child – this includes making a wish for wildlife, the reindeer trail up to the enchanted orchard, a visit to Father Christmas, a present & a glass of mulled apple juice! Hardy volunteers at work in the snow! On our Nature Reserves Winter can be a busy time on our nature reserves as work such as hedge laying and woodland management such as coppicing or tree felling is best undertaken now when trees are dormant. Our work parties – bands of dedicated volunteers – head out into grey winter mornings and warm up as they work together to ensure these wildlife havens remain just that. On the High Street Don’t forget there’s an easy way to support wildlife this winter – by supporting our Ledbury charity shop! As well as pre-loved items, we stock Christmas cards, bird food and a range of wildlife-themed gifts. We are also currently recruiting for volunteers to help to serve customers and sort through donations – maybe this could be your New Year’s Resolution?
