Don’t forget 23rd November, the Christmas Lights
switch on. With the Friends of the Master’s House,
we’re sponsoring opening the Library that afternoon.
We’re also sponsoring two Red Earth Arts workshops
that day when Sara-Jane Arbury and Jeanette
McCullock will help you make your own fun Christmas
decorations using recycled and secondhand sparkly,
twinkly, glittery objects. All materials supplied.
And the date you’ve all been waiting for – Monday
25th November sees our Library Live annual quiz at
the Feathers (7pm start). Sara-Jane will challenge
those grey cells once again with her amazing range
of questions.
Thank you everyone for your continued support.

Before then, have you spotted the event on 7th
November? Pedlar’s Tales - a marvelous retelling of
some of Herefordshire’s incredible folklore. With the
aid of specially made puppets, see these tales live in
front of your eyes – not to be missed! We contributed
to the sponsorship of this event and are very
impressed with the outcome.
We’re still looking forward with interest to see what
impact the new Herefordshire Council will have on
the Library Service. There seems to be a more positive
approach but we know that money is tight.

O
ur autumn book sale runs mid-day on Monday
11th November to mid-day Saturday 16th
November during library opening hours.
Donations of good quality secondhand books
can be left at the Library from Monday 28th
October. We’ll be raising money for e-books and
e-audio books, now very popular through the
Library’s Borrow Box scheme.
