The Underground King of RnB Avery Callahan Avery Callahan hails from Trinity, Tx. Born Novemer 20,1983 in the city of Huntsville, Tx Avery is the youngest of three. His mother was a part of a group called the Traveling Gospel 7, she one day discovered her baby boy was also blessed with the gift of song after asking to lead a song with her group at rehearsal. This would be the day Avery describes as the day his singing career began. From then on he would sing anywhere, everywhere, and whenever he was asked. At the age of 12 he started competing in talent shows, and by the age of 15 he'd fully developed into a singer, rapper, and a songwriter. This was around the time he also began to drop mix tapes. After high school he moved to Houston to further his career and gain more exposure, during this time he experienced hardships as well as successes. He has recently worked closely with Reggie Jamz, Victoria Lashae', and Caleb Collins. His new single In the H feat. CMoney is a classic song that I just know is going to go down as one of the many great Houston anthems. Everything about this song is perfect the track, the vocals, even the words tell you exactly what it is to be from or in my city in the summertime, I love it. When I heard this song I had to reach out and I'm thankful he accepted. Avery is also known for The H-town anthem which is an Avery Callahan song that was remixed by Point blank, Lil Keke, Z-ro, and mmmhmm Avery Callahan. Being from Houston I'm familiar with the song, and it's a big part of our culture (in Houston,Tx) to have summertime anthems (Ball n Parlay, Summertime In My City,Still Tippin to name a few but the list goes on), with that being said Avery has earned his spot as The Undergound King of RnB to Houston and now he's here to conquer the world.
