Skill 33:
Know when to use the past with the present.
* If you see a sentences with one verb in the past and one verb in
thepresent, the sentences is probably incorrect because it deosn’t make
any sense. Example:
- I tell him the truth when he asked me the question.
*However, it is posible for a correct sentence to have both past and
present together and be correct because the meaning is logical.
Examples: -He took the money when he wanted it. ( he took the money Is in
past) and ( when he wanted it is also in the past) so the meaning is logical and the
sentence is correct.
-He takes the money when he wants it. ( he takes the money is in
present) and ( when he wants it is in present) the sentence is also correct.
