Exciting things are happening at District 622! BUILDING OUR FUTURE Conceptual photos Castle Elementary and Richardson Elementary are on track to welcome students back to newly updated and expanded learning spaces in September. Both buildings will have new main entrances designed with safety and security in mind. Safer student pick-up/drop-off areas and bus loading zones have also been added. As planned, construction will continue through December 2019. Projects that are part of the voter-approved bond last May are also now underway. The first two projects, Carver Elementary School and John Glenn Middle School, are in the planning stages. In keeping with the Castle Elementary and Richardson Elementary projects, the improvements will increase student capacity, provide safe and secure entrances in both buildings, and create flexible, innovative learning spaces for students. These projects are slated to be completed by the fall of 2022. The voter-approved bond referendum will provide funds for the improvements across the district.
