NEW Beginning Crochet
Begin with a discussion of crochet
styles, types and sizes of hooks,
types of yarn, how to read the yarn
labels and reading a pattern. Then
learn the basics of crochet including
starting a chain and 4–5 basic
stitches that you will use to complete
the class project—a scarf. If time
allows, crocheting in the round will
also be introduced. Bring sizes C, G,
and I hooks, 300 yards main color of
plain worsted weight yarn, and 100
yards of a contrasting color. (The
following are not recommended for
beginners: Red Heart Super Saver
yarn, nor using either black or white
yarn). Alise Leguizamón
