Immerse yourself in the Swedish , Swedish-American and Nordic culture at the American-Swedish Institute which includes the Nelson Cultural Center , the Bokhandel Gift shop , and the Turnblad Mansion . Step back in time and experience the exquisite 33-room Turnblad Mansion , and the American Swedish Institute . This guided tour provides a close-up look at detailed wood carvings , sculpted ceilings and hand-crafted Swedish tile stoves plus facts and history of the fascinating Turnblad family , the art and architecture of the mansion and the history of early Minneapolis . Housed within in the mansion is the current exhibit Fluidity : Identity in Swedish Glass . Following the tour , you will enjoy a Smorgasboard luncheon of traditional Swedish dishes such as : Swedish meatballs , mashed potatoes , rye bread with butter , beet salad , cucumber dill salad , and lingonberries . After lunch , spend time in the Bokhandel Gift Shop or return to the mansion for some additional viewing time of the exhibit .
The tour leaves Gladstone ( 1945 Manton St , Maplewood 55109 ) at 9 am and returns to the same location at approximately 2 pm . Fee includes school bus transportation , lunch and admission . Any purchases are optional and on your own . Cancellation policy : A $ 15 processing fee will be deducted from the refund when cancelling before May 17 . No refunds after this date .

When Linda ' s mother instructs her to tell her sister about the birds and the bees , things quickly snowball into a potential crisis because the parish priest overhears the conversation . Secrets are unintentionally revealed , and a quickwitted group of women realizes what really matters as they work to protect their family reputation and each other . This wild and tender comedy explores the foolishness of first love and ultimately the power of family . Before the show , enjoy a buffet style luncheon featuring creamy chicken breast , roasted red potatoes , glazed carrots , coleslaw , dinner roll and assorted desserts .
