Mexican Opportunities Beckon for Korean Companies

BY KOREA IT TIMES([email protected])

Mexicali Parque Industrial Park (or the PIMSA Group) executives say that the time is now for Korean companies who want to use Mexico as a base to further their business in Latin and North America.

When most people think of potential international business partners for Korean companies, they do not often think of Mexican companies. Yet Mexico’s Mexicali Parque Industrial Park (also known as the PIMSA Group), not only provides real opportunities for creative business in Korea, it has a rich history of cooperation with Korean firms that originated in the 1980s. Through the efforts of PISMA seminars taking place in October 2014, though, it seems that the company will build on its past successes in Korea and ensure an even more illustrious future.

Xavier Rivas, vice president of the PISMA Group’s business development operations, is coming to Korea this month to oversee a seminar that will also be supported by the Mexican Embassy in Seoul. Rivas is also the former chairman of the National Mexican Association of Industrial Parks. The aim of this seminar is to invite investment in creative business solutions, with the help of global management methods and the assistance of Korean, American and Mexican experts.

The PIMSA Group (www.mexicaliindustrialpark.com) was originally established in 1967. The group was among the first industrial developers in the Mexican state of Baja California. As a member of both the United States National Park Associations and the Mexican Industrial Park Associations, it works with foreign investors on both sides of the United States-Mexico border.
