The
definition of spirituality is to
tune in with your inner consciousness,
your soul. It is to be aware of the ultimate truth of
existence. It is in human being’s nature to run in circles.
Our race started with Ayurveda and Gurus teaching us about
our inner self. Then technology advanced us to complex levels.
Now we are back to square one, we try to calm ourselves through spiritual practices such as yoga, in order to maintain harmony in every aspect of
life.
Our mind, body and soul are the three strands of every person. Our mind (the ego),
our soul (the consciousness) and our body (state of being) need to be in state of peace
and complete harmony for us to function with total self-awareness and regulation. If any
one of them is disturbed, we face obstacles in stimulating our actions towards anything.
These three divisions of our being are the roots. Emotions and feelings are the branches in
the form of complexities which grow off them. To be able to stay psychically and mentally
healthy, we should keep them in check on daily basis.
It’s a simple straightforward theory. If your roots are corrupt how can you expect to grow into
a healthy and beautiful manifestation?
When a person faces depression, anxiety, anorexia etc. it is because of lack of emotional intelligence. Humans tend to lose themselves in the maya of materialistic and petty things.
People meditate and do yoga because it nurtures our mind, body and soul. Which in turn
helps us keep our mental state physical state healthy. The path to spiritual health defies itself by love, forgiveness, empathy, morals and ethics. If you take a person away
from his strengths- morals that he is born with – it is given that he is led on path of
illness.
The energy you give out to the universe comes back to you. If you believe, even the sun can cure your troubles. That is the power of the
vibe.
