leader you could be. Sometimes circumstances will bring
about a situation that will force us to access untapped
leadership abilities that we weren’t aware we possessed.
It’s interesting to note that one of the things that helped the
coach in Thailand find inner strength was his belief system. He
talked openly about believing in prayer and meditation. His
belief in a higher power gave him hope in an otherwise dire
situation.
Outside of the fact that they were athletes, what do these boys,
a continent away have in common with you? Their experience
is a demonstration of how leadership, communication and
failure can purposefully converge and turn a devastating
situation into a triumphant one.
What makes you a leader- it’s not what people think!
Leadership opportunities can arise in any environment at any
age. You don’t need to “grow up” to become a leader, nor
necessarily look towards an adult for guidance. Situations will
arise where you don’t have time to access an adult for a
solution. Do you think that you would be able to rely on
yourself to problem solve?
