Council of the Partnership of Liepaja Region
A Council of the local action group – Partnership of Liepaja Region was elected on 19 September 2012. The Council consists of representatives of local organizations, municipalities, entrepreneurs and rural inhabitants, which are elected by members of association. On 19
September 2012 a number of members of the partnership were 62.
Council of the Partnership consists of the Chairperson of the Council and 12 members of the Council.
Chairperson of the Council
Anda Veidele represents municipalities of the territory of the Partnership.
Education – higher, a pre-school
pedagogy and psychology teacher, a
master, has graduated the Faculty of
Pre-school Pedagogy and Psychology
of Liepaja University.
Employment – Nica Region Council – Head of Otanki parish
administration and Region Education Specialist.
Leisure time activities – reading, travelling, active leisure,
a garden.
Members of the Council
Aigars Laugalis represents a fishery
farm SIA Ervils in the Partnership.
Education: Science of Politics (Bachelor’s Degree), University of Latvia, Business Management (first-level higher
education), Business School, MBA, European University (Munich).
Employment: SIA Ervils and SIA Pērkones Liedags, a
member of the board and a Director of the Hotel “Jūrnieka

Leisure time activities: family, sports.
Ruta Balode represents the interests
of rural women in the Partnership.
Education: higher, a Geographer, University of Latvia.
Employment: Manager of Virga parish administration, Chairperson of the
associations “ROB-LANKA” and “Zviedru
draugu kopa”.
Leisure time activities: writes projects, dances in the European dance group “Valceris” in Priekule.

Inese Freiberga represents the association “Vaiņodes novada iniciatīvas
grupa” (Initiative Group of Vainode Region) in the Partnership.
Education: vocational, Agronomist.
Employment: LLKC, Vainode Region
Rural Development Consultant.
Leisure time activities: photography, singing in Vainode
mixed choir, flower arrangement.
Artis Čanders represents entrepreneurs in the Partnership, the owner of
SIA Rodijs-C.
Education - highest professional,
qualification of Engineer-Mechanics,
Faculty of Mechanization of the Academy of Agriculture of Latvia.
Employment - municipality, Cirava parish administration
of Aizpute region, leads the hunters club “Avots”.
Leisure time activities - different kind of travelling, hunting, physical activities.
Anna Viņķele represents the association “Tev un Taviem draugiem” in the
Partnership. The association unites seniors of Grobina region by organising
different events.
Education – university, Engineer Hydro
technician on the issue of land reclamation, has graduated the Faculty of Hydro Land Reclamation
of the Academy of Agriculture of Latvia.
Employment – performs duties of recorder of meetings
of the association “Tev un Taviem draugiem” already since
2000. A member of Grobina Region Council.
Leisure time activities – spends a lot of time for reading,
follows all topical events in the country and legislation, in
particular the ones related to agriculture and rural areas
