side near a deep ravine, exactly as I had seen them. I have no doubt the Holy Spirit protected my family through Spirit-led prayer.
6. It gives thanks and worships God.
This is thanksgiving empowered by the Holy Spirit.
7. It strengthens faith and keeps you in God’ s love.
Paul said,“ I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding”( 1 Corinthians 14:15). He explained that when believers bless God in the Spirit, they“ give thanks well”( verse 17).
There are times to pray and worship in words we understand, especially in public settings where others need to be edified. Yet in personal prayer, we can also worship, sing, and give thanks in our Spirit-given language.
“ But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God.” Jude 20-21 NKJV
Faith comes by hearing God’ s Word( Romans 10:17). The same Holy Spirit who inspired Scripture also illuminates it, revealing its truth to our hearts. We should both eat the Word and drink of the Spirit. When I began praying in my spiritual language daily, the Bible became a new book to me. Revelation
