“ Perhaps the most beautiful trait of God is his relentless pursuit and love of us .”
The life of a Trailblazer begins with a foundation of character and the journey starts when you say yes to the invitation God extends to you . The journey begins when you take the initiative to join God in the story he wants to write in you and through you . In other words , how you obey matters .
Where do you find yourself in your own trailblazing journey with God ? Perhaps God has put a dream on your heart , and you ’ ve said yes ! You ’ re willing to go first , to blaze the trail , to step off the ledge and into the abyss of the unknown . Yet , you ’ re doing so while clinging to the control panels of your life , hoping that you can manipulate your way into the life you dream about having .
You ’ re doing so while clinging to that unhealthy person whom you feel provides security .
You ’ re doing so while holding onto that destructive addiction that you feel provides comfort .
You ’ re blazing a trail , just one moving in the opposite direction of the way God instructed you to go — all encumbered by the desire for control . And in the process , you ’ re missing out on experiencing the fullness and richness of God ’ s mercy , grace , and undeserved blessing . Or maybe you ’ re trying to beat the system in hopes that you can spin a fleeting flash of fame on TikTok or Twitter into the influence you need to bring people to Jesus . desire for control will inhibit your ability to receive the full blessing of God .
Think about it . Abram ’ s lie helped him accrue a mountain of wealth . Abram ’ s inclusion of Lot granted him some security and familiarity for his journey into the unknown . Abram ’ s sexual escapade with a female slave gave him the son he ’ d always wanted .
But it wasn ’ t enough .
It ’ ll never be enough . Why not ? Because it wasn ’ t done God ’ s way .
In his kindness and mercy , God allows Abram , despite his lust for control , to experience wealth , security , pleasure , and fulfillment . But Abram misses out on so much more .
Maybe you ’ ve accrued your followers , hooked up with that guy , aced that exam , or made your first million . Yet , you ’ re still asking , “ Is this all there is ?”
Perhaps the most beautiful trait of God is his relentless pursuit and love of us . Despite Abram ’ s mistakes , despite his recklessness , despite his pride , God continued to show up and give him further chances .
“ Perhaps the most beautiful trait of God is his relentless pursuit and love of us .”
Whatever the case , here ’ s the reality : your
