equipped business leaders to put the Bible into practice in your job and workplace . Through this event , I was introduced to a couple , Don and Marleen Ostrom , who had taken these principles of marketplace ministries and applied it in their church . When I visited their church in Seattle , Washington I saw an established and thriving marketplace ministry that attracted businesspeople from all over Seattle . They were pastoring and equipping the businesspeople in the church through prayer gatherings , quarterly marketplace events , and creating a space that celebrated careerminded individuals . I instantly knew that was what God wanted me to do .
Since then , we have helped establish numerous marketplace ministries and our goal is to see marketplace ministries established in 1,000 churches . We ’ ve designed a marketplace ministry resource center called Thrive Teaching to provide pastors and business leaders the resources they need to equip and train their businesspeople within their church .
The marketplace ministry has been one of the biggest draws at our church and many of our members were established through an invitation to our marketplace ministry . This is a huge benefit for the church to grow and an opportunity to engage the region in a non-churchy way , by being a bridge from the secular to the spiritual . We set a goal to see 10 first-time homegrown multi-millionaires
