responsibilities
• A perspective that is not emotionally attached to any project or person , bringing a fresh approach
We have had a challenging year . It has caused every church to ask questions as if they were a startup – a church plant all over . How much should we gather as a church ? How much should we scatter to our neighborhoods ? How can we love and serve in a new world ?
As much as everything in our church life has been challenged this year , the fact remains that people will still gather in buildings , they will still respond to clear vision for the future , and they will still want to be a part of that future . Capital Campaigns in churches are changing , for sure . My suspicion is , however , that we will wake up from the difficult realities of 2020 with a renewed passion for ministry that will require financial fuel .
NOW
Greg Gibbs lives near Detroit with his wife Andrea . They have raised four children and spend their time serving the church . Andrea is the Director of the Internship Program at Kensington Church and Greg is a Lead Navigator for Auxano , a Church Consulting Group . In his nearly three decades of ministry , Greg has held pastoral positions at churches in California and Michigan and has consulted for nearly twenty of those years , primarily in the category of generosity and capital fundraising in the church . He has led over 100 capital campaigns and continues to add to that list each year , working with churches all over the country .
